Sun River had been flooded
four times since 1890.

The first copy of the Sun River
Sun newspaper was printed on
white satin.

In the late 1860's and 1870's,
the Sun River Schoolhouse
was across from the present
day Toman’s Public Scale.

Sun River had a jail in 1914.

Drinking alcohol was illegal
on a stagecoach unless
you shared.

The Historic Dance Hall was
once called Murray Hall.

Horses wore fringed bands
on their bridles to protect them
from flies.

William Bruce, a Canadian,
and two Swedish stone cutters
built the J. C. Adams Barn in
1885.

The stones for the J. C.
Adams Barn were cut by hand.

The J. C. Adams Barn has
been placed on the National
Register of Historic Places.
