Back Then
by Jennifer Stevenson
Riding horses to school,
was no big deal.
Snow, wind, hail,
no matter what,
she prevailed.
Summertime called for fun,
having picnics in the nice,
warm sun.
Homemade ice cream,
was always a favorite,
to eat and share,
while waiting impatiently,
to hear what type of stories,
the ranch hands would tell.
Even when
times seemed hard,
she pulled through,
determined, bold,
courageous and proud.
She's an amazing women,
can't you tell?
Full of adventure,
independent,
and most of all,
strong willed.
