1867 companies A, C, D, and F were detached from Camp
Cooke to establish new post

January 4, 1870 General Baker arrived at Fort Shaw

Mourning of the 19th of January 1870, Captain R.A. Troy
with all available men of his company F, I, and K left Fort
Shaw in route to the Marias River.

Troops returned to Fort Shaw the 28th of January

March 17, 1876 Montana Column left Fort Shaw

December of 1891 Military port at Fort Shaw was closed

March 15, 1892 The department of Interior recommended
a majority of the military reserve be set aside for an Indian School

September 12, 1892 all remaining soldiers left the Fort Shaw fort

December 27, 1892 Indian School established

World Fair 1904 world's championship basketball girls
team goes to St. Louis

June 1907 Reclamation Service open the Fort Shaw Irrigation Division

Fort Shaw division opened May of 1908

April 14, 1909 "Demonstration Farm" U.S. Reclamation

November 13, 1913 Dedication of Fort Shaw Congretional Church
