A Montana Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) was formed to develop the Alameda and Prospect Mines which are located adjacent to M & W's Mill. These prospects are currently being developed for Gold and Silver from extensive exploration done in the recent years.
The Prospect and Alameda Group of Claims was purchased by Roy and Marlene Moen from 1988 to 1995. The contiguous block of claims which consists of 135 acres, more or less. There is an addition of 17 unpatented claims that are also adjacent.
Throughout the 10 years that these properties have been acquired, Moen Builders Inc. has done extensive voluntary reclamation work on the land from previous underground mining operations. Fifty acres of surface rights have been set aside for M & W Millings and Refinings milling operations including a 3 acre settling pond, egress roads and Moen Builders Prefab Shop. There was extensive exploration work done on the group of claims in 1995. A series of trenches and diamond drill holes were done on the Prospect and Excelsior Claims. The drill indicated reserves showing in Block 1 and Block 2 of 8,000 ounces of gold with the potential of up to 100,000 ounces of gold with silver credits.
In the fall of 1996, a 9 x 8 decline was started on the Alameda Mine as to intersect the west 40 foot level to extract known reserves that exist on those upper levels.
Current status is approximately a 780 foot decline haulidge drift completed and a 170 foot cross cut drift to Block # 2 of the Prospect Vein has been completed. An additional 175 foot haul drift through an unknown mineralized zone was driven to the west where the Prospect hanging wall vein has been intercepted. An additional 8 foot vein was discovered through long hole drilling at 85 west haul drift. We are currently running an 8 x 9 drift into the newly discovered vein.
Both mines are totally permitted and bonded with the State of Montana and given more favorable marketable conditions both exploration and development will continue on all properties.
