3 Rivers COVID-19 Update 3/27/20

Regarding Montana Governor Steve Bullock’s recent shelter in place order, please be aware that 3 Rivers, as a telecommunications provider, is considered an essential service and our workers are exempt from this order. You will still see 3 Rivers technicians out and about as needed to keep our network running and our members connected.

In other news, some streaming video providers such as YouTube and Netflix are limiting (or considering limiting) video quality to conserve Internet bandwidth at this time. 3 Rivers’ fiber network is very robust and we will be able to handle any increase in bandwidth usage due to more members working from home, online learning, additional streaming, etc. If you see a reduction in the quality when streaming video it’s likely due to limits on the content providers’ part, not 3 Rivers.
